I have a certificate in Digital Graphic Design and Business Studies. I worked as a graphic designer for Titleist for five years and in between worked for Index Exchange as an ad Trafficker. These experiences expanded my skills with digital graphics.
I knew from a young age I wanted to do something with art. My initial plan was to pursue a career in interior design as I am very crafty but I soon realized after, that was more of a hobby. During my one year off after high school, I built my portfolio to submit to the Graphic Design program at Seneca at York. I got accepted but found that I was competing with peers who had more knowledge in Adobe software, skills that I lacked. Unfortunately I dropped out of the program and decided to pursue a career in Business. Even after graduating from Business studies, I found myself going back to graphic design. I was fortunate enough to land a job as a junior graphic designer at Acushnet Inc. Canada although I didn’t have much training or knowledge with Adobe software. Fast forward to five years later, I then decided, this was it. This is what I want to do for my career and enrolled in the Digital Graphics program at Seneca.
Here I am today with much more knowledge and skills in the graphic design field and I absolutely love what I do.
